WGA is owned and operated by Erica Nahass. Erica started gymnastics when she was just 3 years old. She was part of the Junior Olympic team at Reading Gymnastics for 10 years and was the captain of the Reading Memorial High School gymnastics team. Erica has over 15 years of coaching experience and has taught everything from parent/child classes all the way up to high school teams. After earning a degree in Sport Management from Salem State College Erica went on to coach gymnastics full time. She was the director and head team coach of a local gymnastics facility for 6 years before pursuing her childhood dream and opening Winchester Gymnastics Academy.
Amy joined gymnastics classes at age 8, and was part of the Cape Cod Gymnastics Junior Olympic team for 8 years. She started assistant coaching at the age of 13, and went on to coach recreational classes and team programs throughout high school and college. Amy earned a degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in 2010. She then went on to coach gymnastics full time, teaching parent/child classes, recreational classes, and head coaching a competitive team program. Amy was the director of a gymnastics facility in Watertown for almost 2 years before joining the staff at Winchester Gymnastics Academy. Amy’s favorite event is balance beam, because it takes determination, concentration, and GUTS!
Brandi started gymnastics when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Brattleboro, VT where she was a competitive gymnast in the Junior Olympic program for 11 years. She started teaching gymnastics 13 years ago, and has been coaching ever since! During that time Brandi attended Lyndon State College and earned a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching. After college Brandi moved to the Boston area in 2011 and has been coaching full time since then. Brandi teaches our preschool classes all the way up to our team programs, she is also the Head Coach of our AAU program. Brandi’s favorite is uneven bars. When she is not coaching gymnastics Brandi loves spending time at the beach and hanging out with her two cats.
