Does my gymnast have to wear a mask?
Gymnasts 3 and older must wear a mask at all times.
How often do you clean the facility / shared equipment?
At WGA, cleanliness is one of our top priorities. All mats, events, shared equipment and high touch railings/doorknobs are sanitized by staff in between class times and at the end of each day.
How frequently do you sanitize hands?
We supply hand sanitizer at the beginning of class, and in between all events. You are welcome to supply your gymnast with their own personal hand sanitizer. Gymnasts can also wash hands with soap and water in the bathroom if you prefer.
How will you maintain social distancing in the gym?
All equipment has been spread out to accommodate the recommended 6ft distance. We have spots all throughout the gym that are 6 feet apart for warming up and for waiting a turn or listening to instructions.
What health guidelines is your staff following?
All employees are required to wear masks at all times while in the gym and during classes. All of our employees are following strict health guidelines upon their return to work. We are screening them daily for any symptoms of COVID-19. An employee with known close contact to a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19 will not be permitted to return to work until the end of the 14 day self-quarantine period from the last date of exposure.
What health guidelines should gymnasts follow?
All gymnasts should be kept home if he/she or anyone in your family has any type of Covid-19 symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
What should my gymnast bring to class?
Gymnasts should bring a water bottle and a bag to hold shoes, water bottle, clothes and masks. The bag will come into the gym and stay in a cubby for easy access to water.
Where should I enter / exit the gym?
Please enter at the front entrance on Cross Street. Children will be dismissed through the garage door in the back parking lot.
Can I stay and watch my gymnast?
We highly encourage drop off for all children 5 years and older. If you do wish to watch we allow for one spectator per child as long as space permits. Unfortunately we cannot allow siblings in the lobby. You are also welcome to watch from the garage door which will remain open weather permitting. All spectators must wear a mask and practice social distancing while inside WGA. Lobby spectators should enter and exit through the main entrance on Cross Street.
Will you be spotting?
We will be spotting minimally in addition to using drills as much as possible. If you have any concerns with your child being spotted, please notify your coach or send us an email with your concerns.
Should my gymnast stay 6 feet away from others?
Gymnasts must stay 6 feet apart at all times. Each station is spaced out accordingly with spots for waiting a turn, or listening to instructions.
We will be CLOSED for all classes during April vacation. We are open for Fun Days and team practices!
